Pasta, Marinara Sauce, Bell Peppers, Parmesam Cheese
1st let me say this; in my opinion a true homemaker is a person who has many important responsibilities around the home! I wholeheartedly consider being a housewife as an essential role within a marriage, that comes with many important daily responsibilities!
I see it as a real occupation; one that should be highly valued, and respected! I grew up with an amazing Southern Mother. She worked part-time while I was at school, and was a full-time homemaker. She ALWAYS cooked delicious homemade meals. Once in a blue moon my Father would cook, but his main responsibility was as the breadwinner.
I probably didn't begin to appreciate all the homemade meals my Mother cooked until I became an adult; more so, after I got married, and was a housewife for 10 years.
It's the outright dedication, and DAILY effort I began to appreciate once it became one of my duties I took upon; as a full-time homemaker. If you're a true homemaker, you have no days off! We're definitely a dying breed, and I have very few friends that are a true housewife.
Cooking became one of my true passions in life years ago, something I've always taken pride in, and something I seriously adore. For me, it's therapeutic. I absolutely love cooking delicious, homemade meals for loved ones, and seeing their positive reactions to my variety of recipes.
It makes absolutely, positively no sense for a husband to work hard as the breadwinner, to provide everything his family needs; then have to come home and cook! That's the type of marriage arrangement I cannot understand, nor can I relate to, whatsoever!
What man honesty enjoys working hard alllll day, then coming home with no hot meal to eat, and actually HAS to cook! May as well live alone, or have a girlfriend who he doesn't live with; because a marriage should definitely be a partnership.
Unfortunately, not every husband that works hard to provide, and has a wife who's a full-time homemaker; fully values her, and appreciates her DAILY efforts in cooking yummy homemade meals for him! It should without a doubt be valued highly, especially when she cooks delicious meals that are healthy.
Part of my independence, and true identity is cooking! If I couldn't cook for my husband or loved ones, I'd be lost, and very unhappy. Doesn't matter how many errands you have to run on a daily basis; one of the main obligations of a genuine homemaker is to cook!
I love researching, and coming up with new delicious, nutritious recipes 😋. It fun to tryout new recipes, and I value having the resources, and opportunity to do that for loved ones; especially my husband!
This blog post will showcase all the healthy, delicious vegetarian recipes I've been blessed to cook for my amazing Sardar, in just over one months time. Starting with the most recent, and going back to over a month ago.

Pasta with marinara sauce freshly cut bell peppers, parmesam cheese, and a side of delicious bread filled with plant-based butter. Made this dish last night, and my husband absolutely loved it.
Creamy dill pickle dip
Made with sour cream, cream cheese, dill pickle juice, garlic & parsley, and dill herbs. I totally forgot to add bits of pickles, but it came out delicious. I served it with white corn tortilla chips, and it was a hit with my husband.
Lentils & Rice
Organic lentils, organic brown rice, yellow onion, and freshly cut cucumbers. Since my husband is a vegetarian, I continue to find & create new delicious vegetarian recipes. He said, this was like an authentic Punjabi meal!
Spaghetti pasta salad
Spaghetti noodles, extra virgin olive oil, black olives, green olives 🫒, green bell pepper, tomatoes, parmesam cheese.
After last night's dinner, I'll be switching to whole wheat pasta. I remember making it for the 1st time, years ago, and I enjoy the taste of whole wheat pasta more than enriched, flour pasta. I just need to remember to start buying it, again. They also make plant-based pasta.
Cucumber & Tomatoes
The 100% juice products by a brand called Naked are delicious, and super nutritious! This entire lunch was packed with so many vitamins, and was very tasty.
Freshly sliced cucumbers 🥒, tomatoes, yellow onion, apple cider vinegar, sour cream, dill herbs, garlic & parsley sprinkle. Looking at this yummy recipe makes me want to have it for my breakfast this am!
On a side note; if you chop fresh ingredients, prepare homemade meals 2 or 3 times per day, every single day, plus do dishes, clean, do laundry, vacuum, mop, etc., you'll be killing 2 birds with one stone! Great exercise at home, and providing delicious, healthy homemade meals.
Cauliflower & Mushroom Soup
I grew up eating this, and it was a homemade recipe of my Mother's, passed down to me. I boiled cauliflower in water, garlic & parsley. Once it was tender, I drained it, and added a large can of mushroom 🍄 soup. Sprinkled some black pepper, and served it hot with bread & plant-based butter. It can also be served with crackers.

Cold Pasta Salad
Pasta served cold, extra virgin olive oil, Italian seasoning, red bell pepper, grape tomatoes, cucumbers 🥒, garlic & parsley. This was absolutely delicious, but the next with different pasta.
Meal Preps
I love doing meal preps! I began doing them by adding all the chicken, fish, veggies, rice, etc., into separate container; then I'd place an entire meal on a plate & heat it up.
Now, I put a whole meal into separate containers, that way I save on the step of going through individual containers and adding everything to a plate. I can just heat & eat out of one container.
Am Entirely Plant-based Meal
Green salad tipped with my favorite brand of Italian dressing called Skinnygirl. Plant-based chicken nuggets, and plant-based parmesan fries 🍟!
My husband loved the fries, but didn't care too much for the plant-based chicken nuggets. I prefer the spicy plant-based chicken nuggets I bought a few years back.
Plant-based Stuffed Bell Peppers
I used to make this recipe with ground beef. I'll probably never ever cook regular ground beef, again. Plant-based, Beyond Beef is soooo super delicious! It smells like pot roast, and taste like beef. The consistency, and texture is like real ground beef, but juicer.
These were layered with organic brown rice, I believe. I didn't boil the bell peppers, or bake them in the oven; like I used to do with my old recipe. I didn't use shredded cheese, because we were out. I layered all the ingredients a few times, which included slices of cheddar cheese, and topped it with spaghetti sauce.
On the side you'll see a bowl of my famous homemade Mediterranean soup! It's delicious, and packed with nutritious value. I used to make it with chicken both, now I make it with vegetable broth. 😋

Plant-based Hash Brown Sliders
When I make this yummy recipe again, I'll use bigger hash browns. These were difficult to make when it came to added all the ingredients. Plant-based, Beyond Beef, spinach, cheddar cheese, dill pickles, catsup. I would have added red onion, but obviously there was literally no more room.
Homemade Guacamole
I used 2 ripe avacados, added some shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. I also added some fresh lime juice from a lime I cut. This is a light, delicious snack, and can be used as a topping for burgers. Served with white corn tortilla chips.
Plant-based Meatballs & Pasta
These plant-based meatballs were sooo delicious, and well worth the time! I chopped up some spinach, yellow onions, and fresh garlic. I added black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Italian Peas 🫛 & Shells
Extremely simple recipe. Comfort food. Yummy. Pasta shells, extra virgin olive oil, garlic & parsley, black pepper, and sweet peas 🫛.
Plant-based Meat, Sweet Peas Over A Bed Of Coconut, Jasmine Rice
I've switched to as many plant-based products as I can, and made so many recipes using plant-based, Beyond Beef. It's so inexpensive at Walmart, and cost about the same as regular ground beef. It smells like someone cooked some delicious pot roast.
I made it in a skillet using plant-based butter, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and added some green bell pepper 🫑. Sweet peas, and coconut, jasmine rice.
Plant-based Meatballs, Coconut, Jasmine Rice & Carrots
These were pre-made plant-based meatballs, by Beyond Beef. Coconut, Jasmine Rice is simply yummy with so many different recipes. This is perfect for a light dinner, and totally vegetarian.
Yellow Corn 🌽 Tacos Made With Plant-based, Beyond Beef
Another delicious recipe made with plant-based, Beyond Beef. Made the plant-based meat in a skillet. You actually don't need any butter or oil, but when I do add it; it's now plant-based butter. Plant-based butter taste exactly like real butter. Added some yellow onion, jalapeños, and green bell peppers. Gluten-free, yellow corn tortillas, that I didn't cook. Salsa from a jar.

Salads 🥗 are currently a staple food for us. For lunch or dinner, with or without bread; salads are excellent for Summertime meals. I made my homemade dressing which consists of; extra virgin olive oil, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and garlic & parsley sprinkle. Cucumbers 🥒, tomatoes, spinach, no onions this time, but red bell peppers, and topped with shredded cheese.
Veggies & Rice
I really love the flavor of coconut, jasmine rice! I heated up some canned carrots, asparagus, and added it to thr steamed rice. Always add garlic, & parsley sprinkle.
Pickled Salad
Took a break from the normal salad I usually make. I added some cucumbers 🥒, tomatoes and red onions to my special recipe for making pickled veggies. Apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, Italian seasoning, and I usually add light brown sugar. Topped this with shredded cheese. Absolutely scrumptious!
Homemade Mediterranean Soup & Bread
This was my first time making my famous Mediterranean soup using vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. This was also my 1st time making this delicious, nutritious soup for my husband.
Everyone I've ever made this for, seriously loved it! So many people asked for the recipe. It does require lots of ingredients, and lots of chopping veggies. Your entire house will smell magnificent once it begins cooking!
Extra virgin olive oil
Italian seasoning
Black pepper
Celery
Yellow onions
Red bell peppers
Jalapeños
Garlic cloves
On this day I served it with bread & butter. We now use plant-based butter instead of real butter, and it taste exactly the same.
I don't peal the garlic cloves completely. After the juice is gone from many servings of eating, I just add more vegetable broth to make it, again, and make it last. Some people do choose to eat the vegetables; that's what my husband does, and loves.
That was my final recipe to showcase in this blog. Had to end with my favorite, and all-time best homemade recipe. The Mediterranean diet plan has tremendous health benefits. It can prevent many health issues, and totally build your immune system.
