We've been trying out new restaurants. Since my husband is Punjabi, and loves authentic Indian food, I love going to different Indian restaurants with him.
It's been so so long since I had a loving husband that I've felt motivated to get dolled up for, and also makes the effort to dress nicely for me!
No matter what restaurants we visit, we always have a blast! Such great conversations, and spending actual quality time together is priceless.
My husband is so handsome! He's my best friend, and I love to explore new things with him. No matter where I go; doctor's appointments, grocery store, restaurants, the Gurdwara, etc., He's ALWAYS by my side!
It's been extremely hot here in Fresno; Summer is definitely here! I was raised in the desert 🏜, and this city reminds me so much for back home in Arizona! Once in awhile I wear shorts out in public, which is something I use to rarely do; I prefer to wear Summer dresses.
This was the 2nd Indian restaurant we tried, thus far. We're still looking for a wonderful Indian restaurant that serves delicious, authentic Punjabi food for our wedding reception lunch.
For many reasons, we won't he having our wedding reception lunch at King Indian Restaurant.
It was a pleasant, clean atmosphere, with a very nice young Punjabi waitress. Small restaurant, and tiny individual tables. No one was dining there, during that particular time, except us.
Food was about an 8 out of 10. Large portions, delicious, but one appetizer was overcooked. I ordered a spicy, main chicken dish, and ordered it to be made mild/spicy. It was super spicy hot, and yummy!
The naam bread, and other bread they served was delicious. I ordered another chicken dish that was well-made, but not exactly my favorite.
They do not serve any alcohol, and I was looking forward to a glass of red wine. We ordered 2 different flavored drinks made with yogurt, and I disliked mine; so I gave it to my husband.
Decent prices. I don't think anything was over $20.
The bathroom was very clean, but no running water in the faucet. The toilet didn't flush properly, either.
Although, the service was excellent & fast, and almost everything was cooked well & tasted delicious, because of everything else; we won't be having our wedding reception lunch there.
Our guest list is small, and we may possibly only have 10 or less guests; I'd still prefer to have a larger restaurant, with bigger tables. They did play some great, modern-day Punjabi music.
Definitely, need a restaurant with a clean, working property bathroom. I can't imagine our guests not being able to wash their hands, and the toilet not flushing properly!
We'd like a restaurant that can put larger size tables together, or provide us with our own table section. I'd also like a restaurant that, at least, serves 🍷 wine, possibly beer & wine. My husband does not drink any alcohol, but I'd definitely enjoy a couple of glasses of red wine & I'm sure our guests would, too.
Overall, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. I ate the leftover spicy chicken for breakfast. For my dinner tonight I'll most likely eat the leftover chicken dish that was good, just not excellent. It needs some spice added.
The thing about many Indian dishes is they may very well be healthy, definitely not unhealthy, but can also be fattening.
My husband is a vegetarian, and most Indian restaurant have a decent selection for vegetarians. So many super delicious meals, but loaded with carbs & calories.
I highly doubt eating most Indian dishes will help someone loose weight. You may not gain weight, especially if you eat it in moderation, and may end up just maintaining your current weight.
As for me; if I ate this kind of food, often, on a daily basis, I'd definitely gain. There isn't many vegetable dishes, and I don't recall ever eating a good, healthy salad at any Indian restaurant.
The love of my life, my Sardar!
I'm fairly certain my husband is over taking car selfies, but I think it'll be wonderful to look back on them, years from now.
Sun rays!
I'm 47, my husband is 51. I know we look great together, haha!
