My Mother's Gown For Our Wedding!

I finally found the perfect gown for my Mother to wear to my wedding! I looked through sooo many dresses, on several websites.

I love this color, and it's almost the same shade of pink that's in my wedding lehenga! I know my Mother's beautiful skin will look fabulous in this gown!

It was purchased on Amazon, but was made & shipped from India! Such craftsmanship, high quality material, and a lovely style. Arrived sooner than predicted by the seller. It came fully stitched.

Since my Mother is a short woman, she'll most likely have to get it slightly altered, but only to shorten the skirt part. I'm 5 foot 9, and its really long on me.

Since we're both a size 12 in dresses, but different measurements; I decided to try it on. I also wanted to test out my new Barbie backdrop I created, recently.

I had on absolutely no makeup this day, and had just washed my hair; so I was letting it air dry, down & curly. If I were to wear this beautiful dress, I'd definitely have on makeup, and a fabulous hairstyle.

I wanna keep this dress for myself! Lol. The details are exquisite, and the material is awesome.

Haha, I look crazy, but the gown is fantastic!

My Mother will have to have it dry cleaned to press it out, after it's slightly altered to fit her. She decided she wanted the same style purse I bought to go with my wedding lehenga; so I ordered the same exact one for her. It also came from Amazon, and really inexpensive, but will definitely match perfectly.

I don't know what style, or color shoes or heels she'll end up wearing with it. My wedding slippers are gold, with beautiful embroidery, and are traditional Punjabi style shoes.

I also have no clue what style jewelry she'll wear with this gown. I suggest gold, or pearls with gold detailing. I have the beautiful jewelry set from my engagement celebration look, that would look lovely with this dress. She's obviously, more than welcome to borrow it.

It came with a long top like dress, a separate matching shirt with a drawstring at the waist, and a beautiful chunni that matches, but is a different shade of pink, with a gold border.

Our wedding is months away, and even though it'll be a simple, small ceremony & reception lunch; we've been steadily planning ahead, gradually.

Even the smallest wedding can literally take several months to plan in detail! Not much more can be planned right now, but undoubtedly so many essential details have been planned.

We'll be getting our manicure 💅, and pedicure done before the wedding. My Mother will most likely choose to get it done back home, before she arrives, but I've offered to get hers done on the same day I'll get mine.

We'll both get our makeup professionally done by the same makeup artist. I want to get my sweet, amazing Mother pampered! She'll probably get her hair done before arriving here; then the morning of my wedding, I'll retouch it for her.

My beautiful cousin will also be attending from out of town. She'll probably have her hair done, or do it herself, but I love styling hair; so I've offered to style hers for the wedding.

We may all, end up going to get our fingernails, and toenails done on the same day. I'm assuming they'll both be here a few days before the wedding. I'd like to go to a nail salon the day before the wedding, but it'll most likely be a few days before the wedding; because we're having a pre-wedding dinner for family.

My cousin, and I will have a mini Mehndi ceremony party at the same henna shop where I got my engagement celebration henna at, awhile back. It's gonna be super fun, tradition; that will be memorable, and I'll capture everything in photos & on video.

Gotta get henna art done at least 2 full days before the wedding, because it takes that long for the ink to change from orange to brown.
