I'm extremely passionate about cooking! I grew up with a Mother who always cooked delicious, homemade meals for us EVERY SINGLE DAY!
As a full-time homemaker it's undoubtedly one of my main responsibilities to cook! I don't consider it a chore! I do feel a sense of obligation, because the role of a housewife comes with many important, essential duties; in which I do with pride!
I cannot understand, nor can I relate to, being a homemaker, having all day to cook, but don't cook, or cook only on occasion! Even Mother's who work outside the home, still manage to cook for their children, and or husband, on a daily basis!
I love researching new recipes to tryout! I love the entire process of cooking! I love to make healthy dishes for my family! I love seeing their expressions, and receiving compliments on my homemade recipes!
If you truly care about your family's, or spouse's health; then you'll purposely create & prepare healthy meals, that are also delicious! Being a homemaker has no gender role. It can be the Dad, husband, wife or Mom. It can be the uncle, aunt, cousin, etc.
I take an extremely high amount of self pride by ensuring my husband eats delicious, nutritious, healthy vegetarian meals; although I'm not a vegetarian!
I have a best friend who actively watches her weight, and cooks separate meals for her family than she does for herself! I admire her, she motivates me, and has inspired me for YEARS!
There's an old saying called, "A way to a man's heart it through his stomach!" I couldn't agree more, because every hard working man loves, and deserves a home-cooked meal!
Fast food can absolutely be fattening, and or extremely unhealthy; plus it costs more than buying groceries, and cooking at home. When I was growing up we ate fast food on occasion, and it was considered a treat.
Same with eating at restaurants, ordering takeout, or having food delivered. It wasn't taken for granted, because it wasn't something my family did often! You visit my parents home, and to this very day; my Mother will ALWAYS have delicious, homemade food ready for her guests!
I don't think when I was growing up, I fully appreciated my Mother's undying efforts in preparing so many wonderful, homemade, traditional dishes, but as I became an adult; I started to look back, and value her homemade food!
Kids will eat anything they're provided with, and normally have very little control over what their parents choose to make, or buy them to eat. Once they grow older, and enter into adulthood they'll ALWAYS remember who made sure they ate, well!
Food is a direct, positive way to build bonds between family, friends, and loved ones! A delicious home-cooked meal is the foundation of many healthy family environments; and creates fond memories! Laugher, genuine conversations, learning more about each other over a yummy homemade meal!
Cooking side by side with your spouse can undoubtedly build a stronger bond, chemistry, and even intimacy! Serving your husband a hot plate of homemade food is a direct sign of affection, and respect!
Hand feeding your spouse is also a positive element, and can visibly SHOW your efforts in creating intimacy, romance, chemistry, or simply; building a tighter bond!
Cooking for my amazing husband isn't an option, it's something I just automatically do out of sheer love, and respect! It brings me inner joy, peace, balance, and positive energy!
I made this delicious vegetarian dish for my husband, yesterday, for our dinner. I used to make 7 layer dip, often. Its healthy, nutritious, and super yummy! Its perfect for a hot Summers day or lunch, or dinner, and I'lleat some leftovers for my breakfast this am.
