Finally have all the images together to showcase my pre-wedding celebrations & wedding day attire!
It took me awhile to choose my wardrobe, and accessories, plus my hairstyles for each event/celebration/wedding ceremony! Took awhile to save all the photos, and create collages!
I'm so blessed, and feeling accomplished! My education in fashion, and decade of modeling & styling; definitely helped my process in creating these beautiful looks!
Mehndi Ceremony/Party Look!
I decided to wear my comfy black flip-flops to the henna shop for my mini Mehndi ceremony/party. I'll have to stay 45 minutes, at least, after my henna is done; so I'll fully dry before I put on sandals to leave.
I would have normally chosen to wear some cute ballet flats, but I need sandals that I can easily put on & off; including in thr car ride home.
I would also have incorporated some beautiful gold bangles, but I'm getting henna art on my lower arms, both sides of my hands, and fingers. I want everything to fully dry properly.
I adore these bell earrings. I read the product reviews, and although they were super inexpensive; I do believe they'll look great with many outfits in the future. I'm waiting on them to arrive.
Since this mini party will take place about 3 dats before the wedding; I'll create my simple hairstyle by using a long, braided ponytail extension. I may end up adding some super cute clip on bangs in the front.
My wedding day look will be in a long ponytail extension, and crown braid; so the mini Mehndi party, and pre-wedding dinner celebration. I'll also have my hair up in ponytail.
Once I wash & condition my hair, 3 days before the wedding; I don't want to have to redo it. Once it's up, it has to remain up, or it's too difficult to change.
Pre-wedding Dinner Look!
I'm 5 foot 9, so I won't be wearing heels to any of these celebrations; although I love high heels, and little kitten heel mules! My gold ballet slippers will be comfortable, and cute.
I think the beautiful jewelry set I worn for our engagement celebration will match perfectly with this gorgeous Punjabi suit! I could wear huge gold hoops, gold chain necklaces, and gold bangles, buy I think the pearl & light gold jewelry set will look more elegant.
Looks like I'll be using my little purse I bought for my bridal look, for thos look, as well. It matches the pearl & gold jewelry set. If not, then I'll use my beautiful gold clutch purse.
Bridal Look!
Of course, this is my favorite look of them all! I remember the 1st time I saw my wedding lehenga online! I immediately fell in love with it. I showed my husband images of several gowns I loved, and he chose this one; which happened to be my favorite!
I love my traditional Punjabi wedding shoes! I love the little purse. I love the hairstyle I'll be creating using a super long ponytail, and braid crown!
To make sure my dupatta doesn't fall off in the Gurdwara while praying; I found some adorable bobby pins to attach to each side in the front. They'll match perfectly!
My husband loves loves my jewelry set for my bridal look! It's the most beautiful jewelry I own. My lehenga, shoes, and jewelry were all made in India, and shipped from India!
My lehenga arrived semi-stitched, so I'll get it altered, and pressed wat before the wedding! It's so so beautiful! Although I have the body for it, lol; I'll have the skirt part altered to fit me just above my belly button. I know soooo many bridal lehenga's fit to show the stomach & belly button, but I'm not comfortable with that in the Gurdwara.
This completes my wedding wardrobe blog post! It tool soooo long to be able to finally post this particular blog! I'm feeling excited, accomplished, proud & very blessed!
